Day trips and beach days from Toulouse

Saturday day trips to towns around Toulouse and beach days on the Mediterranean coast, organised by AEGEE Toulouse members. Joining the association is free; some trips have a cost of their own.

In short

AEGEE Toulouse runs day trips to towns around Toulouse, such as Carcassonne, Albi, Foix, Montauban, Auch and Narbonne, plus beach days on the Mediterranean coast at Sète, Gruissan and La Franqui. Every one leaves and comes back the same day, is organised by a member, in English, and some have a real cost shown on the ticketing page before you book.

The format

A different town, most Saturdays

Day trips run close to weekly, always to a town within reach of Toulouse and back the same day. Some of them swap the town for the Mediterranean coast: a beach day, same format, out in the morning and home the same evening.

Which destination gets picked changes trip to trip. Recent day trips have gone to Carcassonne, Albi, Foix, Montauban, Auch and Narbonne, and beach days to Sète, Gruissan and La Franqui.

How do you take part?

Two steps, in this order: you cannot book a trip before you are a member.

  1. Ask to join

Send AEGEE Toulouse a direct message on Instagram. No fee and no restriction: Erasmus or not, student or not, anyone who shares what the association stands for is welcome.

  2. Book your spot

Once you are a member, pick a trip on the ticketing page. Spots are limited, so an early look at what is coming up is worth it.

Want to help organise a trip?

Every day trip happens because a member picks a town and puts the logistics together. If you know a place within reach of Toulouse that is worth the group's day, AEGEE Toulouse is looking for you.

Common questions

  • Are the trips free?

No two ways around it: the train ticket out, an entry fee or lunch usually has a real cost, shown on the ticketing page before you book. Joining AEGEE Toulouse itself is free.

  • What language are they in?

English. AEGEE Toulouse is a multilingual association, and its trips run in English so that any international student can follow.

  • Do you need to be an Erasmus or exchange student?

No. There is no restriction at all: anyone who shares what the association stands for can join and take part.

  • Who organises the trips?

AEGEE Toulouse members, not a travel agency. Each one picks a town or a stretch of coast and plans the day.

  • How often do new trips come up?

Day trips run close to weekly, usually on a Saturday morning. What is currently open for booking is always on the ticketing page.

  • How can you help organise one?

By volunteering. Suggest a town worth the group's day, and AEGEE Toulouse will help turn it into a trip.
